POLICY FOR PROCESSING PERSONAL INFORMATION AT PARKPRIVATE APS
(VERSION NO 2.3 UPDATED ON AUGUST 21ST 2024)
(VERSION NR 2.3 AF DEN 21.08.2024)
Processing of personal information in the Visitors app
Introduction
When you register as a user in the Visitors app, data will be stored in order to activate necessary functions. An elaboration on which information is collected, its purpose and which third parties may have access to it, is listed in the below section.
Data
We do not process any sensitive information, only contact information and general personal information. Specific data is processed in the following manner:
Telephone number
When you use the Visitors app and register as a user, we use your phone number to send you a new and unique text message code. In this process your phone number is shared with Firebase, which is the system that handles users and logins.
Your phone number is stored in our backend database and in Firebase as long as you have a user account with Visitors.
You can delete your account at any time, and then your data will be deleted from our backend system as well as from Firebase.
If you have made any bookings these will still be visible in our backend system for statistical purposes, but in an anonymized way without name, phone number or license plate.
If you want to read more about how Firebase processes user data, read more here: Firebase privacy policy. Firebase privatlivspolitik
Name
You are not required to register as a user using your name, but if you choose to do so, this will also be deleted when you delete your Visitors user.
License plate
When you make a booking in the Visitors app, you must enter your license plate (registration number), in order for us to create a parking permit. Your license plate will then be linked to any other user information you have provided, in our backend system. This is done so that you do not have to enter your information every time you make a booking, but it appears as a suggestion.
Your license plate is shared with the parking company that oversees the parking space, so that a valid parking permit can be issued. Parking companies such as Q-park, APCOA, Simplyture, Unopark and Parkeringskompagniet/Oparko. If you want to read more about each company’s specific handling of your license plate information and parking data, follow the links below:
In the parking groups, e.g. Frederiksberg, where a residents license is needed for the municipal parking spaces, your license plate will be for validation at the company that is in charge of residents licenses for the municipality in question.
In the Frederiksberg parking group, it is Easy Park that we send your license plate to for validation.
In the various parking groups located within the Copenhagen Municipality e.g. Vesterbro, your license plate will be sent to the municipal Parking Rights System (PRS) for validation.

Location
When you log in to the Visitors app the first time, you will be asked if you consent to the app using your location. You can then choose between ‘Allow once’, ‘Allow while using app’ or ‘Do not allow’.
Your location is only used to suggest potential parking groups and parking spaces located near you, as well as for guiding you to your destination, if you make use of the ‘Show the way’ function in the app. You are always able to change your consent and preferences under settings in your phone.
Payment information
When you make a booking in a parking group where parking spaces are available for free, no payment data is collected.
If you book parking in a group with payment, the payment information you have provided, your phone number and potentially your name, will be sent to Stripe who handles the payment. Read more about how Stripe processes your data by clicking this link: Stripe privacy policy. Stripe privatlivspolitik
When you make a Visitors booking that requires payment another time, we collect your information directly from Stripe, so you do not have to enter your payment information again. Payment information can be deleted directly in the Visitors app.

Time period of information storage
